I’m excited to share with you a unique group of changemakers who will undoubtedly help re-imagine workplace wellbeing in the UK. More precisely, Metluma are at the forefront of a pioneering initiative designed to transform how we support women, as individuals, through perimenopause and menopause.
You might ask, ‘why?’. Well, despite improved awareness, greater talkability and new BS 30416 guidelines, the incontrovertible truth is that 25% of the UK’s female workforce, who are right now at some point in their menopause journey, will actively consider leaving work due to their symptoms.
This isn’t a criticism of employers; this year’s PiB Group HR survey found almost 75% of the 1,000 HR Heads interviewed, said they don’t have the data or access to evidence-led sources necessary to craft a strategic employee wellbeing plan.
That’s why you’re reading this. Via the global FemTech community, I met Georgie Drury and Dr. Nicole Avard who, together with leading Clinical Nutritionist Jarrah Eddy, are the driving force behind an enterprise that is changing the lives of working women.
As I write this, their Sydney-based, health innovation co., Metluma, is supporting and guiding women at work in Australia and Asia. When I learned they are soon to begin an employee pilot with NHS Scotland, Georgie and I agreed now is the ideal time to gather insights and learnings from UK businesses that, like NHS Scotland, are defined by specific operational structures and requirements.
I’m aware of no other health innovator in this space whose approach, support services and solutions are grounded in real-time data combined with personalised, evidence-led programs. Deloitte describes this as a ‘Smart Health Community’.
You know here at Ludo we are passionate about getting wellbeing right when it comes to women and the workplace. Metluma has applied learnings from Southern Hemisphere clients to design a UK pilot which, in turn, will provide further insight and analytics to its Smart Health Community model.
We have a discounted offer for the Ludo Community to be part of this incredible opportunity. Want to learn more? Drop me an email elizabeth@weareludo.com
