Cynthia Fortlage

Ms Fortlage is an international award-winning LGBTQ+ executive, entrepreneur, and board leader. In 2017 she started CAF Services as a Gender Identity Consultant and Speaker. Bringing One Leader with Two Genders of experience to every engagement, helping organisations navigate gender-related Issues using #AcceptancewithoutUnderstanding™ to create safe spaces where people feel they belong. Over her 30-year corporate career, she developed skill sets in process simplification, strategy development, intentional culture development, leadership mentoring, diversity equity inclusion and belonging. Cynthia identifies as a white, queer woman with a transgender history.

In recent years, Cynthia served as Board President of the Rainbow Resource Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and was the national board chair for the feminist organisation Women’s March Canada. Currently, she is serving on the boards of Stonewall Housing here in the UK, as well as OutRight Action International based in New York City, a global LGBTIQ+ human rights organisation and United Nations Secretariat on LGBTIQ issues. She is well-spoken, having presented at over 350+ events in 30+ countries on all forms of media.
